The Montessori environment is child-centered and designed to facilitate maximum independent learning and exploration by each child at his/her own pace.

The Teacher Training

Each Montessori teacher on staff at the Martingrove Montessori is Association Montessori Internationale (A.M.I) trained and has obtained their age-appropriate AMI diploma, which is internationally recognized because of its high standard and authenticity.

The Teacher’s Role

Each Montessori teacher functions as designer of the learning environment, resource person, mentor, and observer of each child's unique behaviour and growth. The teacher's main daily role is to guide each child to learn from the materials available.

And, although each teacher plans daily lessons for each child, it is common to allow a child to choose something he or she truly enjoys instead.

Our Staff

At the Martingrove Montessori, each Teacher has a an assistant to also aid and guide the children as they work.
